Day of the Dead

Día de muertos

Mexican traditions are a reflection of the great country that we are; they show our beliefs, love, fears and the way we see life.

As part of the cultural activities in November, we took a literary skull and offering contest to the prisons in Ecatepec and Neza Sur to remember the origin of the tradition, celebrate Mexican customs alluding to the Day of the Dead in Mexico and as tradition dictates so that they could remember and commemorate all their loved ones who are no longer with them in this life.

For this cultural celebration, with the help of Uber and We Work, we brought kits with all the necessary materials to make a typical Day of the Dead offering. That's right! We even brought marigolds, cardboard, and colored sheets for their literary skulls. Three winning teams were chosen and all received different stationery items as a prize. And, as expected, we closed the celebration by eating bread of the dead and chocolate milk.
