Workshop "Let's be companions, not rivals!"
Fostering trust and mutual support to change deeply rooted rules regarding the conception of rivalry and competition among women is very important for La Cana. Therefore, we seek to generate changes so that our collaborators embrace the idea that when you help one, you help all! We aim to emphasize the feeling of sisterhood among women regarding social gender issues.
Solidarity is the foundation of this workshop, where we discuss common situations in which we have been seen at a disadvantage compared to our male peers and our own sex. Solutions are proposed to show that when women come together, they can achieve incredible things and that being a woman should not work against us.
The objective of this workshop is to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of adopting a sisterly mindset. We seek for them to learn to see other women as companions despite social influence, through the creation of a playful space that is guided by communication and listening, where deep reflections on empowerment and the importance of respecting and supporting our equals can begin.
Through awareness strategies and the promotion of values, we aim to reduce all forms of social oppression that have been established among women and that patriarchy has exerted on the sex. We encourage mutual support to achieve the generic empowerment of all and the vital empowerment of each woman.
