On August 23 we had the official inauguration of the Comprehensive Social Reintegration Program for Women Deprived of Liberty in the Chiconautla prison, Ecatepec where we had a day of many smiles and a lot of enthusiasm.
The day consisted of a gathering with food and a gift to welcome the inmates to the La Cana program. During the event, we have the presence of the specialists who will teach the different workshops of the program as well as a brief presentation of what will be carried out in each of the workshops in order to familiarize the inmates with the topics.
During this semester, eight different workshops will be held: Yoga, Wisdom of the Heart, Life Postcards, Reading Circle, Personal Image, Mandalas, Textile Embroidery and Weaving, and Art Psychotherapy.
At the end of the day, we had an excellent response from the women who showed a lot of interest and enthusiasm in participating with us. Now we have more than 100 inmates registered in the different workshops.
